One of my favourite vinyl album covers. Still got it somewhere..
“I don’t know much about Hipgnosis designer/photographer/etc. Peter Christopherson, who died recently. However, reading his obituary on Creative Review, I realise he’s responsible for an image that’s always been stuck in the back of my head ever since I first saw it at Dartford library many, many years ago. His cover for Peter Gabriel’s Scratch is so simple, yet messes with the boundaries of photography and seeing and time and space in a weirdly profound way. It’s a record that looks like it might hurt you.”
